"Open" or "AA" Division -- Elite Tournament Veteran. Consistently demonstrates excellent over-all skill and able to consistently execute advanced volleyball strategy.
"A" Advanced Division-- Very Experienced. Consistently demonstrates great basic skills and ball placement/control.
"BB" Intermediate Division -- Knows the outdoor game, intermittently demonstrates growth or strength in one or more basic skills.
"B" Division-- Fairly new to the game or only intermittently demonstrates fair-good skill level.
"WJ" Girls Junior's Division-- Based on age as follows:Girls ages 12-17. Pool play set up: 17Under Club and 14Under Club & Power mixed.
**No Sandbagging**
(If you are a Junior, please note this rule does not apply to Junior’s teams.) Sandbagging is defined as a player who enters into a division below his or her ability or "a person who would beat up their little sister and brag to friends about it." The player with the highest skill level determines a team's level of play. Sandbaggers go against the principles of CVC. If you are not sure which division your team is best suited for, please ask your pool monitor prior to start of games. Pool Monitors will not consider excuses like, "We have never played together before" or "I recently had surgery or injury" valid for playing in lower divisions. If you are found to be guilty of "sandbagging" by your pool monitor after start of games, you will be forced to forfeit in finals. Complaints regarding sandbaggers should be reported to your division Pool Monitor.
The Spirit of the Clash and Crown: These events are designed to offer volleyball fun for players of all ages and abilities. The CVC realizes that volleyball is a competitive sport and can get heated at times. We are committed to ensure the actions of one person or team will not ruin or tarnish the experience for the greater majority. The following guidelines are meant to reduce the negative impact of the few who do not adhere to acceptable standards of conduct for these family oriented events.
